“Using the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda” by Shameela S Khambhaita

If I see one more gym membership offer or new weight loss supplement, I think my mind will explode!

Does this feeling ring a bell?

Don’t despair...

There IS a solution to weight management that is simpler than you could ever imagine!

After spending most of my life battling with weight fluctuations since childhood, I was about to give up all hope until I was introduced to the magic of Ayurveda. Yes, I did use the word magic. Why you ask?

Well, it is because of Ayurveda, which literally translates to the science of life that I have completely transformed, internally and externally and continues to do so each and every day.

It is because of Ayurveda, I wake up every day feeling excited, feeling alive, feeling at peace.

It is because of Ayurveda, I am in love with life itself.

It is because of Ayurveda, I managed to lose 22kg in under 3 months and dropped from 90kg to 68kg without a single protein shake or weight loss supplement in sight.

Yes, that’s right, 22kg. This is not a typo! You may be a little sceptical, understandably as this sounds too good to be true. But it is true!

It is because of the success of my personal transformative journey, I now share the keys to my success with as many people as I can through my Cherub Veda weight loss program.

What is Ayurveda?

The word Ayurveda in Sanskrit translates as follows. 'Ayu' means life and 'Veda' means knowledge or science. Therefore Ayurveda quite simply means the knowledge or science of life!

Ayurveda, the science of life, prevention and longevity is the oldest and most holistic medical system available on the planet today. It originated in India thousands of years ago.

Ayurveda is a whole philosophy of life that encompasses just about every aspect of day to day living.
The main theme of Ayurveda is that people can adequately educate themselves to take control of their own health with the primary goal being prevention and secondary being treatment. This is achieved by monitoring and balancing ones nutritional and lifestyle habits to heal, prevent illness, and develop longevity.

My personal transformation journey...

Here is how my journey began

Buckle your seat belts as this article may just change your life in a way you never thought possible!

The end of August 2011 was a turning point for me and the first step was to look at my goals. Who was I and what did I want my life to look like?

Well, I knew what I didn’t want and that was not to be tired all the time, both physically and mentally. I didn’t want to be overweight. I didn’t want to be stressed.

1Whilst strolling around the markets in Port Adelaide, I came across a book titled ‘Ayurvedic Beauty’ by Janet Wright. There it was, staring right at me as if it was saying ‘take me home’! So, I proceeded with purchasing it. This book then lead me to read more. I was hooked and before I knew it, I had signed up to study towards becoming an Ayurvedic Consultant.

Whilst studying during late 2012, I started to practice the Ayurvedic theory. At this stage, I weighed 90kg. Shortly thereafter, I made the personal decision to resign from my very stressful position in Clinical Research after 15 years in that industry to fully commit myself to my life purpose, Ayurveda.

On Australia Day 2013 I registered my business Cherub Veda and graduated later that year. It was late February 2013 that the new me emerged. I knew I felt different, much calmer and content but I hadn’t quite grasped the extent of the physical changes until it was pointed out to me by those around me.

It was time for a weigh in. First one foot, slowly followed by the other to reveal a number I cannot recall seeing for a very long time. I was 68.1kg. No way....was I seeing things? So I hoped off the scales and got back on. I was shocked....I weighed 68.1kg!

By simply following an Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Plan suited to my body type, the weight fell off. I had so much energy! I felt amazing then and continue to do so each and every day! If I can do it, you can too!

The Cherub Veda Weight Loss Program is based on the following 8 steps:

1. Determine your body type and eat in accordance with it.

2. Understand what food to eat and when you should eat.

3. Have a relationship with your food.

4. Improve your digestion and ignite your digestive fire.

5. Incorporate the magic of herbs and spices into your daily diet.

6. Ongoing cleansing and detoxification.

7. Exercise can be fun!

8. Reduce your stress levels

A step in the right direction!

Well, there you have it. How hard was that! Ayurveda has changed my life in so many ways and I know it can do the same for you. All it takes is determination and the will to change. If you have these two qualities, you’re ready to take the next step the Ayurvedic way!
