“How to Keep Making Progress Even When Your Inspiration Drops” by Rachael Campbell

At first glance, this may seem like a frustrating statement because many times, when we feel we need to start over, we never intended to give up in the first place.

This week, I want to share my experience on how to keep moving, even when you feel exhausted and uninspired, and how to keep yourself from giving up on what you want the most.
As we take steps to find the happy, fulfilling lives we desire, each day may be different. Some days we may feel wholly inspired, finding it easy to stick to the goals we’ve set for ourselves. Other days, reaching our desires can seem far away, and even unattainable. On these days, it may be more difficult to keep your head up and stick to your plans, but it is so much more important to find strength at these times to move through to better days.
When you first took the time to write your goals and desires, you likely felt very excited and eager to start moving towards the person you know you can be. Do you remember feeling like you could achieve any goal, make any change and feeling positive about the direction your life is headed?
Chances are, you did feel that way, and still do at many times. When we’re doing well and everything is lining up, it’s easy to feel like we’re on top of the world and can do anything. It’s easy to stick to goals. If you intend to truly make changes in your life and tap into your intuitive guidance, it is important to understand that not every day will feel this way, and that’s completely normal.
Some mornings, especially when you are going through struggles in other areas of life, you may wake up and feel as if your whole journey is too difficult and not worth your time. You may not feel motivated to do any of the things you have promised yourself. Think of times in your life where you are more stressed than others. Perhaps you’ve missed a few days at the gym, indulged in a brownie or two or are working late hours on a big project. How do you feel when you must deal with situations like this? Are you at your best? Do you feel motivated and inspired to make your dreams a reality?
Chances are you don’t, which is what makes tapping into your intuition so important during these times. When you find yourself overwhelmed, distracted, just generally uninspired, take a few moments to go back to your intuition. Listen to your inner voice again, and remember why you began working towards these goals to begin with. It is important, now more than ever, to let your intuition guide you and to focus on the next step, however small it may be.
Are you in a situation like this now? If you’re experiencing more demands than usual in one area of life, ask yourself how you can make sure that the rest of your life is balanced and positive. Let me know what you’re working towards in the comment below.
Much love and gratitude,

Rachael Campbell
